Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee of the United States believes he would have eventually finished Turkish rival Alibeg Rasulov had their fight not been stopped. Lee returned to action in the ONE Championship ring after more than two years on hiatus, following the tragic and untimely passing of younger sister Victoria 'The Prodigy' Lee in December of 2022.

'The Warrior' came roaring back with a vengeance, showcasing his trademark speed and power against Rasulov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video. Unfortunately, the fight ended abruptly when Lee accidentally poked Rasulov in the eye, which caused an immediate end to their lightweight MMA world title matchup.

Speaking to the media at the official ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov post-fight interviews, Lee said he was disappointed he couldn't get the finish and wanted the fight to continue.

Christian Lee open to defending either lightweight or welterweight belt next: "We’ll see what ONE Championship has in mind"

When 'The Warrior' Christian Lee returns to action next year, he doesn't care if it's at lightweight or welterweight. The two-division MMA champ plans on defending both of his belts.

He told ONE Championship:

"We’ll see what ONE Championship has in mind, what Chatri wants to do. There are two divisions that I’m [ruling]. So if it’s not a rematch at lightweight or a new opponent, then I’ll be looking to defend at welterweight, so doesn’t matter to me."
