“This has been one of the best camps I’ve done; the hard work is done, [and] I am ready for the show.”

Fans have every reason to believe Andrade’s confidence. Widely regarded as one of the most dynamic and entertaining athletes in MMA today, he has amassed an impressive seven-fight winning streak. This run includes a sensational 62-second knockout of Kwon, which earned him a shot at the divisional title in October 2022.

Though an accidental groin strike turned his first world championship bout against former world titleholder John Lineker into a no-contest, Andrade rebounded with a decisive knockout victory over his compatriot in their second encounter four months later to claim the vacant belt.

In November 2023, Andrade pursued two-sport glory by taking on Jonathan Haggerty for the then-vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. While he fell short, the 27-year-old demonstrated that his striking skills could hang with the British superstar despite nursing multiple injuries.

Now, Andrade returns to his bread and butter, determined to redeem himself against a familiar adversary.

Standing in Fabricio Andrade's way is Kwon Won Il, a knockout artist who boasts a 100-percent finishing rate in his nine victories under the ONE Championship banner.

Moreover, the South Korean enters this world title showdown riding a three-fight winning streak.

Kwon’s last loss came against Andrade. Since then, he has been on a tear to climb to the No. 3 spot in the bantamweight MMA rankings.
