Johan Ghazali knew that if he stuck to his game plan, he would eventually bend Josue Cruz to his will.

The teenage sensation bounced back onto the column in an emphatic fashion at ONE 168 last Friday. He improved his ONE resume to 6-1-0 in just over a year, which means that Johan Ghazali may be a couple of wins away from entering the division's top five.

However, before making his dramatic leap to a championship fight, 'Jojo' is happy where he is. In his last outing, things didn't go as planned. But this time, he followed a new game plan, which paid off in spades.

Speaking at the ONE 168 post-fight media scrum, 'Jojo' said:

"Of course, I wanted to take my time because I knew that if I stood in front of him long enough he would fall. So, yeah I wasn't really in a hurry."

Upon reflection of both his strengths and weaknesses, 'Jojo' didn't disappoint his North American audience. His decision loss to Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167 in Thailand only made him stronger. You can certainly sense his urgency to put on a show for the whole world watching.

'Jojo' Johan Ghazali pockets his first $50K bonus after first-round finish in Denver

At only 17, Johan Ghazali scored his first 50K bonus for his first-round finish in Denver.

The Malaysian-American rookie is a lot richer than when he started fighting at ONE Friday Fights. Before securing a $100K contract under the promotion, Ghazali had collected multiple bonuses for his outstanding ability to knock out his opponents unconscious.

Abundantly strong, 'Jojo' shows no signs of slowing down and is more than capable of keeping another winning streak alive.
