Jiri Prochazka last entered the octagon in June as he challenged Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight title at UFC 303, suffering a second-round TKO loss. It marked his second title bout loss to 'Poatan' in three appearances since returning from a right shoulder injury that sidelined him for over a year.
The No. 2-ranked light heavyweight is set to return next month when he faces Jamahal Hill at UFC 311. He recently called out his upcoming opponent for his pre-fight trash talk. Speaking to Mike Heck Jr. of MMA Fighting, Prochazka stated:
"I don’t care what he’s saying because it’s not just primarily about me. It just shows what is in his head. Man, I don’t care about what other people say about me because when you know how this works, how to work the mental of the human body, so how people can speak about others and why they speak about others, especially when he don’t know me personally. He knows just my fighting style and in that, he’s totally out with his commentary."
Prochazka continued:

"That’s why I don’t care about these trash talks because it’s just to build a confidence where there’s not confidence. Do you know how the true confident man, a real man, looks like? He don’t know. He don’t need to say some s**t about others, to speak about his strong sides and about the weaknesses in his opponent because he’s self-confident too much to not do that. That’s, for me, the true power of the man. That’s it. I want to speak about others, but why ? I see that like a weakness to speak some bulls**t about my opponents, man."

Hill was critical of Prochazka's style as he claimed he was not a smart fighter and took a lot of damage. While 'Denisa' has not engaged in trash talk, he predicted that he will show the world why he is the better fighter when the two share the octagon next month.
Jiri Prochazka called out Jamahal Hill following UFC PI altercation with Alex Pereira
Jamahal Hill was involved in an altercation with Alex Pereira at the UFC PI last month. Jiri Prochakza shared his thoughts on the incident during a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.
The No. 2-ranked light heavyweight called out 'Sweet Dreams', stating:
"I just saw some things Jamahal said about he's going to the cage for the money. That's another thing that I don't want to talk because it will be not nice talking because, for me, I don't need the money to fight with the champion or guys who stay in the top-five."
