UFC light heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev has addressed his comments about Alex Pereira possibly using sorcery for his fights. Anakalaev is set to compete on the upcoming UFC 308 card. Ahead of the event, the Dagestani had an interaction with the media.
During the interaction, Ankalaev was asked to elaborate on his comments about 'Poatan' possibly doing voodoo. The 32-year-old shared that it was small things about Pereira like the Brazilian painting his face during weigh-ins that led to his comments.
Ankalaev added that even if his claims about 'Poatan' were true, he was not bothered by it.
"Just because I see the way he paints himself, the way he kind of does these different things or whatever, maybe because of that, we based it on that. But that's not something specific... Even if it's there, it doesn't bother me because I don't care about it."

Ankalaev will lock horns against Aleksandar Rakic on the main card of UFC 308. The event will be held on October 26 and Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi will serve as the venue.
An impressive win that night could possibly propel Anakalaev to a shot at UFC gold.
How did the claims of Alex Pereira doing magic originate?
Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka were matched up for a light heavyweight title bout in the main event of UFC 303 in June this year. During fight week, Prochazka accused Pereira of using spiritual powers and challenged him to abandon such practices ahead of their fight.
'Poatan' went on to win the clash via knockout in the second round. After the event, several MMA personalities weighed in on Prochazka's comments, including Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya.
Magomed Ankalaev also uploaded a post saying that Pereira's magic rituals would not have an effect on him.
