Ilia Topuria recently expressed disappointment over his UFC 308 bonus prize, and fans began speculating that a feud may be brewing between the Georgian-born fighter and Dana White.
Last weekend, Topuria silenced his critics with an incredible third-round knockout win over Max Holloway in Abu Dhabi. The reigning UFC featherweight champion became the first fighter ever to score a knockout victory over Holloway and earned himself a 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000. However, it appears he wasn't happy about the bonus amount and expected more for his performance.
During a post-fight interview, he questioned White giving him only $50,000 and said:
"I knocked out Max Holloway, and Dana only give me $50K? I hope he’s gonna give me a little bit more."

Alexander Volkanovski on whether Ilia Topuria could KO Islam Makhachev
Alexander Volkanovski recently shared his thoughts on a potential Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria matchup. The Australian explained why he believed Topuria could knock out Makhachev and lauded the featherweight king's power.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Volkanovski dismissed the possibility of Topuria submitting Makhachev but claimed the Georgian-born fighter could KO anyone in the featherweight and lightweight divisions. He said:
"[Topuria winning via] submission, obviously, I don't see that happening. [But] Can he knock Islam out? Of course, he can. He can knock anyone out in these two divisions [featherweight and lightweight]."
