Kiamran Nabati believes a slow and steady approach has led him to a golden opportunity to face one of the biggest names in Muay Thai at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27. The Russian slugger will duke it out with Nong-O Hama in a bantamweight Muay Thai joust inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
This marks his third contest on the global stage after a trio of fine displays against Suablack Tor Pran49, Avatar PK Saenchai and Pongsiri PK Saenchai. Before they throw down, the Archangel Michel martial artist shared his excitement and explained why he fully deserves his chance in an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post.
He said:
"For me, I've been working to get to this fight for a long time. I did it step by step, and now, I'm coming to fight a legend in Nong-O. I'm so excited."

Nong-O vs Kiamran Nabati could steal the show at ONE Friday Fights 81
As a former divisional king and a living legend of the sport, the Thai athlete is arguably the toughest test of Kiamran Nabati's career.
Despite losing to Nico Carrillo and Jonathan Haggerty, the legend powered his way back with a trademark performance against Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai this past April.
Moreover, the Evolve MMA athlete has taken out the who's who in the Muay Thai realm, and his stellar run under the ONE Championship banner backs that up completely.
That said, the Russian has been on an absolute tear since the very start of his journey. He's utilized every inch of his 'Art of Eight Limbs' arsenal on his way to a remarkable 21-0 slate.
With hands for days and punishing weapons downstairs, Kiamran Nabati won't need a second invitation to go in for the kill when he takes on the striking icon inside the Mecca of Muay Thai in under a week.
ONE Friday Fights 81 will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com. The promotion's upcoming card inside the Mecca of Muay Thai broadcasts live in Asia primetime on Friday, Sept. 27.
