In the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3, 'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade was able to earn valuable time in the ONE circle against MMA veteran John Lineker.

The 25-year-old Brazilian fighter had knocked out most of his opponents in the first round. While it was great to have those wins, for a developing fighter, maintaining time in the circle is highly valuable.

When 'Wonder Boy' fought 'Hands of Stone' in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3, he was finally able to earn some in-cage time and learned much from the match.

Mixing it up and exchanging against someone as experienced as Lineker was no doubt beneficial for the 25-year-old. While speaking with The MMA Superfan, Andrade explained:

"I’m still young and I’m still starting in my career. Sometimes people forget that I don’t have that much experience, even though I’ve been fighting in striking all this time. But still, it’s a big difference. I’m fighting guys with over 40 fights. It has been a great start for me. I’m gaining a lot of experience from my first few fights. But I still have a lot to learn. That was a really good one, to teach me a lot of things."

Fabricio Andrade wanted to KO John Lineker

Fabricio Andrade was looking to win the ONE bantamweight world championship when he fought John Lineker in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3.

'Wonder Boy' is an expert knockout fighter and was focused on trying to KO 'Hands of Stone' when they fought.

While speaking with SCMP MMA, Fabricio Andrade admitted that he may have given too much thought to aiming for a first-round knockout:

"A lot of people doubted that I can beat him. There was a lot of pressure and I wanted to finish him in the first round. I wanted to finish him easy.”

The bout ultimately ended in a no contest due to an accidental illegal groin strike, after which Lineker was unable to continue.

Despite the disappointing result, Andrade is still hungry to prove that he best in the world:

“I’m not happy with the way how I performed in the fight. I know it’s not my best performance. I’m not happy with how everything played out. I want to fight him again and show that I’m the better fighter.”
