Andrew Tate and former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland engaged in a back-and-forth verbal argument on social media.

Over the last few years, Strickland's popularity has skyrocketed due to his performances inside the octagon and antics outside of fighting. The 33-year-old middleweight also acquired thousands of followers on social media for his controversial opinions and arguments with popular public figures.

One of Strickland's online enemies has been Tate, as the UFC fighter has accused the latter of being a "scam artist." Earlier this week, the former middleweight champion took to X and said this about 'Top G':

"I don't "fw with tate" because he is a scam artist. He manipulated and used men then joked about how much money they would give him while he pretended to be a woman. I don't understand how anyone can respect that."

Tate responded to Strickland by saying:

"Well Sean. It's true we had a cam company where the girls pretended to like men. Saved men from suicide and depression more often than you'd believe to have a girl across the world remember their birthdays. You're worried about my income from over a decade ago, I suggest you instead focus on training. Retirement comes around quicker than you'll realise."

What's next for Sean Strickland under the UFC banner?

In January of this year, Sean Strickland attempted to defend his UFC middleweight title for the first time against Dricus du Plessis. Unfortunately for Strickland, the five-round battle ended with Du Plessis getting his hand raised by split decision.

Earlier this month, Strickland returned to action and began his road back to middleweight gold by taking on Paulo Costa. Despite dominating the entire fight, one judge scored the fight for Costa. Nonetheless, the other two judges scored in his favor as Strickland emerged victorious by split decision.

On August 17, Du Plessis will defend his middleweight throne against Israel Adesanya in the UFC 305 main event. Strickland has confirmed he plans to endure an extended layoff and pursue a 185-pound title shot against the winner of 'Stillknocks' vs Adesanya.
