Second-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai contender and interim world title challenger 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo of Scotland says his path to greatness has been anything but easy.
In fact, the Scottish knockout artist believes his road to ONE Championship gold was laced with the biggest obstacles anyone in the division has ever faced.
But now that he is ready to seize the moment and take the 26-pound belt back home with a victory this weekend, Carrillo is more than ready to make history.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Carrillo looked back on his journey to reach this point in his career, and says it's been a memorable one.

'King of the North' said:
"I had to take the hardest road to get there. I had to fight the number one, then defend my number one spot, which was meant to fight for the title. There's been surgeries and setbacks along the way."
This weekend, Carrillo will finally get his opportunity to capture ONE Championship gold, and is confident of getting the job done against another tough foe.
