During ONE Championship’s post-event interviews for Fight Night 6 on January 13, Demetrious Johnson shared his thoughts on the entire GOAT discussion, particularly what makes him different from other contenders for the label:

“A lot of athletes when they suffer a huge defeat and get knocked out, they get kind of gun-shy. But for me, I think I'm just getting more warmed up as a mixed martial artist and just getting better or that separates me, different from the others, people who are on the list of the greatest of all time.”
The Washington, USA resident showed off his ability to bounce back from a loss when he claimed the ONE flyweight world title last year over rival Adriano ‘Mikinho’ Moraes, the same opponent who dealt him the first TKO loss of his career in 2021.
Demetrious Johnson knocked out Moraes in the fourth round of their world title rematch at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August with a spectacular flying knee.
Further proof of Johnson’s ability to overcome adversity s is the fact that throughout his career, which included a long run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, he has not lost back-to-back fights while compiling a 31-4-1 record.

While he has seen practically everything in the fight arena in his long and illustrious career, mixed martial arts legend Demetrious Johnson still came away impressed with newly minted ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov.
'Chinga' put on an impressive performance at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok, Thailand.
‘Mighty Mouse’ posted a photo on Instagram of him and Allazov backstage with a caption congratulating the new champion.
The post read:
"Holy sh*t @chingizallazov is the MAN!!! CONGRATS CHAMP!!!"
Demetrious Johnson was at the Impact Arena to witness Allazov dominate former featherweight kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn in their world title clash by way of a second-round knockout victory.
The American MMA legend currently sports a 4-1 record in ONE since making his debut in March 2019. Prior to winning flyweight gold, he won the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.
