British Muay Thai icon and former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger 'Hitman' Liam Harrison of the United Kingdom knows his time at the upper echelon of the striking world is near its end.

However, the 38-year-old veteran is still confident he can defeat his division's reigning two-sport king, even when he's already past his prime.

Speaking to Sky Sports MMA Club in a recent interview, Harrison says he has 'the tools' to defeat ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty at his current state.

'Hitman' said:

"Do I still think even at my age that I still have the tools? Yes. In that last fight based on what I saw against [Felipe] Lobo, I think I still could beat him. Then again, it’s dangerous for me to go against these younger guys in their prime because they’ve got everything to gain by beating Liam Harrison."

Haggerty fought Felipe Lobo in his latest bantamweight Muay Thai world title defense at ONE Fight Night 19 on Prime Video last February.

Although 'The General' was able to come away with a third-round technical knockout victory over the dangerous Brazilian, Haggerty also tasted the canvas in this fight after being swarmed by 'Demolition Man' early in the contest.

Haggerty battled back with resolve to win the fight inside the distance, turning in one of his most impressive performances to date.
