Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee of the United States is glad to be stepping back inside the ONE Championship ring this weekend.
Lee is set to defend his lightweight MMA gold against undefeated Turkish wrestler Alibeg Rasulov. But he also holds another belt in the welterweight division.
With 'The Warrior' being out for over two years on hiatus, naturally, talks of creating an interim belt surfaced. However, Lee says that talk should now come to an end because he's back to defend all his belts.
In a recent interview with the Bangkok Post, Lee said there was no need to create an interim welterweight belt because he's ready to fight for the real thing.

'The Warrior' said:
"In the time that I’ve been out in the last two years, we haven't seen Abbasov fight again. We haven't seen too many welterweight title contenders fight to be eliminating for that shot. I think that there's a lot of good talented welterweights out there in ONE Championship but we haven't seen anyone really clearly step up to the plate working their way to the top yet. So I don't think there's any rush for an interim belt before I defend it."
