Never one to shy away from expressing his thoughts, Sean Strickland is easily one of the most polarizing fighters on the UFC roster. 'Tarzan's' recent comments about Muslims have divided the internet.
In one of his recent posts on X, the former UFC middleweight champion made some smug remarks about Islam, accusing the religion of being homophobic while in the same breath making a generalization that all Muslims were "closeted":
"Here is the thing, you wanna be a gay, go for it!!!! All the d***s. But Muslims hate the gays, but they act gay. Y'all literally hold hands and hug all day long. You really don't find that strange??? I just think they are a little closeted."

"Not everything is gay dude. Western culture has made everything weird... It has eroded every human emotion and expression into sexual form."

Strickland was last seen in a split decision win over Paulo Costa at UFC 302 in June. Dana White has since confirmed that 'Tarzan' is next in line for a middleweight title shot.
When Sean Strickland decided to stop making fun of Islam
As one of the best trash talkers in MMA history, Sean Strickland often pushes the boundaries of verbal decency during his verbal tirades. However, a gym partner once seemingly convinced 'Tarzan' to stop poking fun at Islam.
In an appearance on the #143rd MMA Show of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 33-year-old elaborated on how former UFC fighter Albert Duraev convinced him to lay off Muslims:
"Albert Duraev come up to me and say, 'Hey Sean can I talk to you?'. I thought he was going to show me a move. Albert Duraev is a great wrestler. So I'm like sure I'll be your wrestling dummy for all these little muslims coming to the cage... He is like 'No, no, no, no sit down Sean.'... So he is like, 'Sean, Sean, Sean, in my country I cannot be friends with you... you say things about Islam.' So after that... I was like f**k it dude, I'm going to lay off Islam."
