Jens Pulver weighed in on the recent announcement that the UFC and WWE will be merging to form a new entertainment company after Endeavor purchased a majority stake in the sports entertainment powerhouse.
During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Pulver shared his thoughts on the recent merger and what it could mean for both entities in the future. Although the two are merging, he mentioned that the UFC are walking a fine line in terms of what the perception could be from the general public:
"I think you're walking a fine line when you do because for so long, that was one of the things we had to go against. We're not scripted. These are not fake fights, these are real fight...It's a fine line between the two and I think...one's can be fans of one and others can be fans of the other and you could be good to go." "I understand merged under the same boss so to speak under the same company. But I know they're still trying to keep the UFC is gonna be the UFC, they're gonna do their own thing. The WWE is gonna go do the WWE and they're gonna go do their thing. What'll happen later, I mean, maybe more visits, you know what I mean, things like that. I don't know." [31:39 - 32:00]
