Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang provided one of the most touching moments at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13 in Bangkok.

In his post-fight interview with SCMP MMA, ‘The Burmese Python’ highlighted the importance of prayer for what is happening in his native land of Myanmar and the world in general.

Myanmar is currently embroiled in internal political strife, which has led to many deaths and has taken a toll on the economy, leaving Burmese nationals feeling sad and, at times, helpless.

In his message, Aung La N Sang said:

“It’s hard for our country right now. I just let them know I pray for them. Not just our country, I think the whole world needs more peace. Peace of mind, and only God can give you peace of mind. I want them to know that our lives are short, make sure you are good with our maker. If there’s peace we can progress and our nation will be so much better.”

Aung La N Sang reveals what he thinks makes ONE Championship fights exciting for American fans

One of the long-tenured fighters in ONE Championship, ‘The Burmese Python’ Aung La N Sang is excited for the promotion’s push to the United States market and expects it to do well.

The former two-division world champion believes ONE has the right product for end-to-end action-packed fights that suit the taste of American fans. Aung La N Sang said in an interview with the promotion:

“ONE Championship is exciting because it forces fighters to work for the finish. We have yellow cards, no other promotion has yellow cards, and our fights aren’t scored by 10-9 rounds. It’s scored by the entirety of the fight. It makes it more interesting for sure. And the [Muay] Thai guys, they’re aggressive guys, they always look for finishes.”

Adding:

“The U.S. fans are in for a treat. The whole card, I don’t see any boring fights at all. It’s going to be a great show for sure.”

ONE will hold its first-ever live event in the US on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado. It will be headlined by a trilogy fight between ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes.

Aung La is hoping to be part of the groundbreaking US show, which will take place at 1stBank Center in Broomfield.
