Jonathan Haggerty brought out the popcorn and gladly played spectator when two of the most prolific Muay Thai fighters of this generation, Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Rodtang Jitmuangnon, shared the ring.

Dubbed 'The Muay Thai Fight of the Century', these fierce Thai warriors set their friendship aside at the historic ONE Friday Fights 34 last year, in an epic match at Lumpinee Stadium that will forever be celebrated in history.

The three-round war lived up to expectations and more, as 'The Kicking Machine' and 'The Iron Man' figured in a back-and-forth brawl that showcased the true essence of 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.

The match eventually went the distance, with Superlek narrowly edging Rodtang via unanimous decision. By all accounts, the two-sport and two-weight champ's knockdown of the former flyweight Muay Thai kingpin in the second frame ultimately won him the match.

To this day, fans and pundits alike are still split if it was a legitimate knockdown or if Rodtang simply slipped.

Jonathan Haggerty, however, agrees with the call, which he shared on The Winners Talking Podcast:

"I mean did you think it was a knockdown? Did you watch it? So yeah, it was down to the knockdown. Some people didn't think it was a knockdown, some people thought it was. I thought it was a knockdown. It was debated but I think it was a knockdown."

Jonathan Haggerty will seek redemption in Qatar

Jonathan Haggerty does have a shared history with both Superlek and Rodtang. For now, though, 'The General' will put those rivalries aside as he is set to defend his bantamweight kickboxing crown for the first time.

The British KO artist will look to keep 26 pounds of gold in the United Kingdom by beating China's upset-seeking challenger Wei Rui.

This five-round battle will headline the promotion's return to Lusail Sports Arena at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20.
