Kevin Holland has referenced Israel Adesanya's celebration after winning against Alex Pereira while addressing boundaries before a fight.

During a recent appearance on the Real Eyes Recognize podcast, Holland was asked to comment on the boundaries fighters shouldn't exploit in the build-up to their fights. Responding to it, he alluded to Kevin Lee bringing up Michael Chiesa's mother in the build-up to their 2017 bout and Israel Adesanya taunting Alex Pereira's son following his victory.

After beating Alex Pereira at UFC 287 by knockout, Adesanya sought out Pereira's son and mimicked the Brazilian getting knocked out. It is worth noting that his son had previously mimicked Adesanya's knockout loss to 'Poatan' back in 2017.

Speaking of the same, Kevin Holland said:

"Kevin Lee said something about Chiesa's mom back in the day, that was too much. You know, I got messages about that sh*t and I thought it was unacceptable.....Leave the kids out of it. I've seen Izzy did the celebration after, you know, he was waiting to do that for years."

Israel Adesanya is set to take a break from fighting

The former UFC middleweight champion recently shook his fans by announcing that he's planning on taking a long sabbatical from MMA after losing to Sean Strickland.

Over the past few years, Adesanya has been very active, fighting multiple times in a year, and that seems to have taken a toll on him. In what was his second fight of 2023, 'The Last Stylebender' took on Sean Strickland at UFC 293. Despite going into the fight as a massive favorite, he ended up losing the fight via unanimous decision.

During a recent episode of 'The Rock' podcast, Israel Adesanya shared his intention to step away from the world of fighting for quite some time and said:

"Now I’m going to take time to look after myself, and I’m not going to fight for a long time. I’m definitely not going to retire because I know me – I’m not leaving like that. I’m going to heal myself up. You won’t see me fight for a long time."
