Senegalese fighter 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane sent a warning to ONE heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin that he is going all out in seizing the championship belt from him, even by way of knockout if the opportunity presents itself.

The 32-year-old Thiaroye sur Mer native will challenge 'Sladkiy' for the heavyweight gold at ONE 169 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., on Nov. 8. It will be ONE Championship's second live on-ground event this year after ONE 168, happening in September.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post following his latest triumph in Thailand last week, 'Reug Reug' said he has studied the game of Malykhin and believes he has the necessary tools to beat the reigning heavyweight king in whichever direction their title clash will go.

He said:

"Anywhere, you know, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, knockout. You know, I have big hand, you know. I touch you one time and it's finished. You see Malykhin's previous fights, everybody did not touch Malykhin, he runs away. But me, I'm coming for it."

'Reug Reug' was last in action at ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs. Rasulov on Prime Video on July 5 in Thailand, making it a successful kickboxing debut by knocking out Boucher Ketchup in their all-Senegalese war.

ONE 169: Atlanta will be available to North American fans through Amazon Prime Video.

Anatoly Malykhin says it will be an early finish of 'Reug Reug' in title clash

ONE heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin does not see 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane as much of a threat in their scheduled title clash on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta. He even sees the contest having an early finish.

The Russian juggernaut, who is also the the middleweight and light heavyweight world champion, shared this in an interview with ONE Championship after his title clash with the Senegalese warrior was announced.

'Sladkiy' said:

"Thoughts [on the title showdown]? Knockout in round one, win a bonus, then have a good time with my family after the win."

ONE 169: Atlanta will mark the first time that Malykhin will be defending the heavyweight MMA gold since he unified the division's championship belts with a TKO victory over former world champion Arjan Bhullar in their unification match in June 2023.
