Jarred Brooks offered up a timeline for when his inevitable trilogy fight with Joshua Pacio could go down.

After dominating Pacio in their first meeting at ONE 164 in 2022, 'The Monkey God' surrendered his ONE strawweight MMA world title to Pacio via an unfortunate disqualification less than 60 seconds into their rematch at ONE 166 in Qatar.

Not long after the fight, Pacio revealed that he had suffered an ACL that would require him to undergo surgery. Still laid up and recovering, ONE Championship introduced an interim title at ONE Fight Night 24 in August.

Facing Gustavo Balart for the 26 pounds of gold, Brooks secured a quickfire first-round submission victory over the Cuban star, guaranteeing himself a third and presumably final meeting with 'The Passion' in 2025.

Thus far, no details regarding their highly anticipated threequel have been announced, but if Brooks gets his way, the two will tussle in the first quarter of the new year. Speaking to the Bangkok Post, Brooks said:

"I want to fight him in March. I want to fight him in May, April, June, July August. It doesn’t matter how many times I have to beat Joshua Pacio. I want people to know that I am the true strawweight champion."

Jarred Brooks returns to take on Reece McLaren in a flyweight showdown at ONE Fight Night 26

This Friday night, 'The Monkey God' returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. Jarred Brooks will move up a weight class to take on fourth-ranked flyweight contender Reece 'Lightning' McLaren at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.

It will be Brooks' first time competing as a flyweight under the ONE Championship banner after making his way through some of the biggest names in the strawweight division.

If Brooks can earn a win over McLaren, he could very well be the next man up for a shot at the vacant flyweight title and an opportunity to become a two-division ONE world champion. Will 'The Monkey God' get the job done in his ONE flyweight debut, or will the size discrepancy be too much for him to overcome?

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 26 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 6 in U.S. primetime.
