"I won't underestimate him" - Shadow looking for aggressive but cautious approach against Sitthichai at ONE Friday Fights 92

Muay Thai rising star Shadow Singha Mawynn believes he has the physical tools to pull off the momentous upset against Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Friday, Dec. 20. However, he remains wary of what his fellow Thai striker can do inside the ring.

In an interview with the world's largest martial arts promotion, Shadow promised to balance his aggression with caution:

"Overall, I think I will pressure him because he hasn't fought in a long time. But I won't underestimate him because he is experienced and possesses dangerous weapons."

The 24-year-old bounced back from his promotional debut defeat to Mamuka Usubyan in February by winning his next three fights, starting with a TKO of Erik Hehir at ONE Friday Fights 58 this past April.

A gifted striker blessed with strong fundamentals coupled with the fight IQ of an established veteran, Shadow logged his biggest win under the ONE banner at the expense of French megastar Jimmy Vienot in June.

Fighting Sitthichai will be a whole different puzzle for Shadow to figure out, however, owing to the 33-year-old veteran's extensive experience and relentless pursuit of eventually challenging for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai crown.

Shadow comments on what defeating Sitthichai would mean for his career

Not every fighter gets the chance to trade leather with established legends, and Shadow understands how big of an accomplishment it would be for him to earn a victory over Sitthichai inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In an interview with ONE, the Singha Mawynn representative stated:

"If I beat him, it would be like I got an elevator ride because Sitthichai is a living legend."
