Mixed martial arts legend and former ONE flyweight MMA world champion 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson of the United States says his MMA career is long past, but the 38-year-old American still looks back fondly at what has been an incredible time in the cage.
One particular moment he had in ONE Championship, where he dominated the promotion's flyweight ranks for the past few years, was his flying knee knockout of divisional rival Adriano Moraes in May 2023.
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Johnson recalled the aftermath of his electric performance in Denver, and said he was happy he helped give ONE Championship a moment in history.

'Mighty Mouse' said:
"I remember having a conversation with Chatri. It was after I beat Adriano the second time and he called me in and he was like ‘dude, that fucking fight, that flying knee, the numbers are off the charts. Amazon Prime, they’re happy you came over here and delivered.’ I’ve always believed in my brand. I’ve always believed in my fighting skills, my intelligence, my skills that I bring to the table."
Demetrious Johnson proud to be able to 'show up everytime and deliver' for ONE Championship
'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson said ONE Championship made the right choice when they traded Ben Askren for him all those years ago, because he knew he could deliver the goods.
Johnson retired last year, ending his ONE Championship stint with a 6-1 record.
He told MMA Fighting:
"It felt good when Amazon Prime was like those numbers (*makes clapping gesture*), good job guys, you made a great, sound, decision to get Demetrious Johnson because he’s going to show up everytime and deliver."
