“I’ve got something special” - Nabil Anane guarantees fireworks in his kickboxing debut vs Petchtanong 

Nabil Anane promises to unleash something special in his kickboxing debut this Friday night.

After winning five in a row in the art of eight limbs, the 6'4" sensation returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a showdown with Thai icon Petchtanong Petchfergus at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.

It will be Anane's first time lacing up the eight-gloves for a go in the bantamweight kickboxing division. Speaking with the Bangkok Post, the 20-year-old believes he's made the appropriate adjustments and has something exciting in store for fight fans inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.

“I can change things up," Anane said. "I’ve adjusted my game plan for this fight, and I’ve got something special this time. Stay tuned.”

After coming up short against two-sport king Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his promotional debut, Anane has won his last five outings, including a pair of jaw-dropping KOs against Nakrob Fairtex and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai. He also holds impressive wins over 'Demolition Man' Felipe Lobo and Lethwei superstar Soe Lin Oo.

Aside from a significant height advantage against the 5'9" tall Petchtanong, Nabil Anane will also have youth on his side, being 19 years younger than the Thai fan favorite.

However, not everyone sees that as an advantage.

While Anane has 38 career wins to his credit — an especially impressive feat for a 20-year-old — he'll be taking on a fighter with well over 400 career fights, world titles under both the WBC and WMC banner, and a streak of his own inside the Circle.

Petchtanong enters ONE Fight Night 26 having won three straight including decision victories over Zhang Chenglong and Hiroki Akimoto followed by a brutal second-round knockout against Russian standout Alaverdi Ramazanov at ONE Friday Fights 68.
