"I've learned a lot" - Nabil Anane says experience in ONE has prepared him for Petchtanong test at ONE Fight Night 26

When you look at the year so far, Nabil Anane has to be in the conversation for the breakout star of the year.

Anane already came into 2024 with big victories over Nakrob Fairtex and Muangthai PK Saenchai but his stock has gone to new heights this year.

Having already produced three wins this campaign to take his winning streak to five, the 20-year-old is already looking for new ways to challenge himself.

Anane is one of the top contenders in the bantamweight Muay Thai division but in his final outing of 2024, he will make his kickboxing debut. He isn't taking it easy either by working his way up the ladder with each fight, he's jumping right in at the deep end.

At ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, he will face off with the former champion, Petchtanong Petchfergus, who returned to action earlier this year and stopped Alaverdi Ramazanov in a fight that showed exactly why he is one of the best.

The young star spoke about this clash in a recent interview with the Bangkok Post where he spoke about how the experience he has accumulated in ONE will aid him in this fight:

"This is my first kickboxing fight in ONE, and I'm already facing a former champion. I think I've learned a lot. I've got more experience now. It'll be a fun fight."

In 2024, Nabil Anane has already announced himself as a top contender in one division by taking out some of the top contenders in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. His wins over the likes of Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Felipe Lobo show that he belongs in the rankings and that's exactly where he now sits.

On Dec. 6 at Lumpinee Stadium, the rising star could do the same thing in the bantamweight kickboxing division off just one win.

Beating Petchtanong could immediately see him ascend to the top of the division.
