Tawanchai has a trick up two up his sleeve for Superbon.
Emanating from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on January 24, Tawanchai will once again put his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship on the line when he runs back it back with the undisputed featherweight kickboxing titleholder.
Appearing at the ONE 170 media day ahead of Friday's showdown in The Land of Smiles, Tawanchai shared some insight into his training camp, revealing that he may have a few developed a few "tricks" to break out against the kickboxing star.

"I don’t know where it’s going, but I believe it will be exciting," he said. "We have different styles. We are not aggressive fighters who are throwing punches around randomly. So I’m being careful. I’ve prepared some tricks for him as well."
Tawanchai goes into his latest ONE world title defense riding a seven fight win streak, his most recent victories coming against Superbon in their first meeting at ONE Friday Fights 46 and 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut in June 2024.
Superbon knew a rematch with Tawanchai was inevitable
After coming up short against Tawanchai the first time around, Superbon was determined to fight his way back up the rankings and get another crack at the ONE featherweight Muay Thai titleholder.
A win over Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81 was exactly what Superbon needed, re-affirming him as the top-ranked contender in the featherweight Muay Thai division and setting the stage for one of the most anticipated rematches in ONE Championship history.
"Actually after the previous match with Tawanchai, I expected to fight (him again), but I think I was put to fight someone else in the rank first before the rematch," Superbon told ONE. "I'm confident, after beating Jo, that I'd get to fight Tawanchai again. So I've focused on fighting with Tawanchai after I beat Jo."
Will Superbon capitalize on the opportunity and capture his first Muay Thai title on martial arts' biggest global stage, or will Tawanchai extend his unbeaten streak to eight and go two-up on the kickboxing star?
