Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex of Thailand has been out of action for months after suffering a tear of her meniscus. The injury came during a training camp for her foiled atomweight title defense against Denice Zamboanga.
The injury has been so devastating that Stamp admits to being at her lowest point both physically and mentally. In fact, it is so bad, that she still has not fully recovered to this day.
In a recent video posted by Fairtex Training Center on YouTube, Stamp addressed the injury and gave fans an update on her status.

The 27-year-old Thai MMA queen said:
"My mental state after surgery was really, really bad. Like why did I get hurt? Why do I have to get surgery?"
As Stamp questioned the untimeliness of her injury, doubts began to creep in as she battled with the mental aspect of a fragile fighting career. She added:
"I haven’t fought for a long time, it’s been one year already. And I cannot walk, I cannot do the same things as before. Everything was bad for me. But now my mentality is just think about the positive. Someday, everythings gonna be better, don’t worry."
Stamp is looking to make a return to action early next year.

Atomweight MMA queen Stamp Fairtex is sitting on the sidelines now, recovering from a torn meniscus that has kept her out of action for months.
The heaviest thing weighing on her mind, however, is that the competition continues to get better and better while she's still re-learning how to walk.
That being said, the 27-year-old is confident she can make a comeback and defend her title one day. Stamp said:
"I feel like I’m [taking a step] back. I feel like everyone is moving forward with their skills, like more skills, more power, more muscle, but for me, I have to build it all again."
