American actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson unleashed a series of startling revelations during his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. The 69-year-old spoke in length about his experience with Remdesivir, a controversial broad-spectrum antiviral medication used for COVID-19 treatment. Gibson disclosed that after taking the drug, he was unable to walk for three months.
He also linked Remdesivir to the alleged death of his longtime gardener, who was treated at the same hospital. These claims reignited debates about the safety of the drug, often criticized for its alleged organ toxicity. Speaking to Rogan on episode #2254 of the popular podcast, Gibson said:
"I couldn't walk for three months after I had that stuff because it kills you. I found that afterwards. It kills you [and] that's why I wonder about [Anthony] Fauci."

Some studies associate the drug with kidney damage and acute kidney injury (AKI), citing evidence of nephrotoxicity. Other research suggests it is safe, even for patients with severe kidney impairment, presenting a complex picture of its risk profile.
Gibson also mentioned friends who recovered from stage four cancer using alternative therapies, hinting at the use of antiparasitic drugs like Ivermectin and Fenbendazole. Rogan, familiar with these treatments, probed further, to which Gibson confirmed their use with a nod.
Several fans took to X to react to Gibson's comments and wrote:
"Who could have imagined that the guy from The Patriot would be the one to expose the corruption in the medical industry? 2025 is something else."
"Mel Gibson shakes up the medical industry by revealing truths that could bring down big pharmaceuticals. Ivermectin and Fenbendazole as cancer cures; if this is true, how many lives could have been saved?"
"With all the news coming out about alternative therapies for diseases the world has been battling, and RFK, Jr. going after Big Pharma and the regulatory agencies, 2025 and beyond are going to be great years of medical discoveries that have been suppressed from the public."
