Filipino-American striker Eddie Abasolo seeks to barge into the top five contenders in the ONE featherweight Muay Thai division. He is out to to fortify his case with a victory in his scheduled match next month.
'Silky Smooth' highlighted this in an interview with Cageside Press ahead of his return to action on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' in Thailand, sharing that he has been on the fringes of barging into the top five and is ready to take his place in it.
The 38-year-old Vallejo, California, native said:
"In ONE, of course, I want anyone in the top five. I'm not in the top five, but I've fought Sitthichai, he's in the top five. I think Luke [Lessei] is number five. Sitthichai was actually number two. [Niclas] Larsen, he was number four or number five when I beat him."
