"I want his belt" - Superlek ready for historic two-sport, two-division supremacy by dethroning Jonathan Haggerty

ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is currently riding one of the most impressive runs of anyone in striking sports.

'The Kicking Machine' has long been considered one of the best in the world but that's been emphasized as of late.

His recent wins over Takeru Segawa and Rodtang Jitmuangnon have been nothing short of spectacular.

After defeating Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at the end of June, he turns his attention to competing in another massive dream contest.

At ONE 168, he will head to Denver with the hopes of claiming another world championship in a different weight class and ruleset.

Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty knows what test awaits him on September 6 and he's not taking it lightly.

Superlek was already beating the best opposition possible but now, as he spoke about in a recent interview with ONE Championship, he wants belts:

"I know this is a different thing for me, a different belt. So this is a new challenge for me and I want his belt too."

Both Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek were in attendance this past week at Lumpinee Stadium for ONE Friday Fights 72.

On the same night that Haggerty cornered his younger brother to another victory, the two men met in a tense and heated face-off.

Both of them have put together impressive winning streaks as of late but once must come to an end at the Ball Arena.

Haggerty will look to produce his second title defense whilst for Superlek, this fight will show his versatility.

Be it flyweight or bantamweight, kickboxing, or Muay Thai, he's a certified legend of striking sports and he shows no signs of slowing down.
