Danielle Kelly is always prepared to prove people wrong whenever she is set to return to competition. This is something that she has dealt with for a very long time at this stage so it really is nothing new for the ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion.
Kelly may have initially started her journey in martial arts as a way to build confidence but she isn't short on it now.
The champion knows how hard she works and that paid off for her last time out with her title-winning performance at ONE Fight Night 14.
She now faces another very tough test in the form of Brazil's Mayssa Bastos who brings a lot of pedigree into this contest.

This additional pressure of defending her title against an opponent that has been successful at the highest level won't affect Kelly coming in.
She said in a recent interview with Jordan Teaches Jiujitsu that her aim is to be in full control of this contest:
"I want to be comfortable everywhere. I want to be comfortable whether I'm trying to pass or something else, I want to be comfortable if I'm on the ground."

Danielle Kelly is constantly evolving with each match
ONE Championship fans have watched Danielle Kelly go from strength to strength in front of their eyes and that will be no different at ONE Fight Night 24.
Mayssa Bastos may just be her toughest test to date but that won't stop the champion from approaching this match-up like any other.
She's always feeling like she has a point to prove but having her back against the wall is where Kelly performs the best.
Bastos isn't going to underestimate her opponent given her experience but she may have another thing coming if she does overlook her opponent even for a moment.
ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in US Primetime, free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
