Jarred Brooks has ONE Championship gold draped on his shoulder once more, and he's hellbent on staying at the mountaintop for as long as he can.
The American star captured the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title when he submitted Gustavo Balart in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 this past weekend at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
Taking to Instagram, the former ONE strawweight MMA world champion wrote about capturing the interim strap and what it meant to finally get promoted to black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Brooks will now face old rival Joshua Pacio in an inevitable trilogy for the undisputed ONE strawweight MMA world title once the Filipino star recovers from his ACL injury.
Jarred Brooks talks about the arduous journey he took to claim ONE interim gold
Jarred Brooks arguably had one of the most dramatic world title losses in ONE Championship history.
'The Monkey God' was disqualified in his first world title defense when he accidentally spiked Joshua Pacio's head to the canvas at ONE 166 in Qatar this past March.
Five months after that loss, Brooks claimed the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title and made it known how difficult it was to once again capture world champion status.
"You have no idea of the amount of pain, the agony, the sacrifice that I had to do to get this belt," said Brooks in the ONE Fight Night 24 post-fight interviews.
