Jonathan Haggerty is no stranger to success at the highest level and he realized it quickly in ONE Championship.
It really didn't take long for the Brit to find himself mixing it up with the top strikers in the world after signing to the promotion.
His debut back in 2019 saw him defeat Joseph Lasiri via unanimous decision before straight to the very top.
At ONE Championship: For Honor that same year, he stunned the striking world by dethroning Sam-A to become the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion.

It was a fight and moment that will live for Haggerty and his close supporters for their entire lives.
Before he gets set to make his return at ONE 168 in another high stakes title clash, Haggerty reflected on the moment that he became a world champion during a recent YouTube video:
"So that moment there, when the final bell rang, it was a bit of a relief. But I enjoyed that fight, as crazy as it sounds. I didn't want that fight to end. This is the moment. See, that there gives me goosebumps. Yeah, I was literally speechless. I didn't know what to do at that point. I just showed my props to him, I was literally like, I've done it. The announcement Dom Lau called my name as the winner."

That fight changed Jonathan Haggerty permanently
From that moment on, the career of Jonathan Haggerty has not been the same and he's rarely taken a look back.
'The General' has only competed in big name contests ever since his first title win and whilst he would lose the title in his first defense, his pair of classic fights with Rodtang Jitmuangnon only added to his legacy rather than taking away.
Haggerty is now set to return on September 6 where he will defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion in a dream clash with Superlek at the Ball Arena in Denver.
