John Lineker believes the best days of his professional career are not behind him just yet. After losing his bantamweight MMA belt last year, the 34-year-old veteran has had a career resurgence in 2024 after making the transition to 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.
'Hands of Stone' disrupted the bantamweight Muay Thai division after back-to-back ferocious knockout wins over Asa Ten Pow and Alexey Balyko.
Lineker could even find himself a ranked opponent soon if he beats 'Left Meteorite' Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs Abdullaev on Prime Video on Jan. 10 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Speaking to ONE Championship, John Lineker reflected on the massive success he had this past calendar year.
"Next year will definitely be better than 2024, but I have nothing to complain about."
Moreover, the Brazilian bomber made it clear that he has sights not just on 26 pounds of gold in Muay Thai, but is also looking to reclaim his lost bantamweight MMA throne. Lineker added:
"It was a wonderful year in my life. But we strive for the best every day, and that’s what I’m going to do in 2025 – improve and dedicate myself more than I’ve been dedicating myself. I want to be MMA champion again and try to fight for a title in Muay Thai as well.”
John Lineker says he grew more spiritually in 2024
John Lineker certainly deserves praise for remaining in peak physical form after all the wars he endured over the years.
However, as far as 'Hands of Stone' is concerned, he credits a higher power as the reason why he was able to remain relevant in another sport.
The former bantamweight MMA world titleholder said in the aforementioned interview:
“I also experienced growth in my spiritual life, learning more about God and seeking God more in my life, so this has made my life better every day. It was a wonderful year – a year of learning about God, a year of growing in God."
