With his looming world title defense on the horizon, Fabricio Andrade is letting off the intensity of his training camp.

The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion is almost at peak form a few weeks before his world title defense against Kwon Won Il at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.

Sharing his camp's progress on Instagram, Andrade said he could've had more sparring sessions with his teammates at Tiger Muay Thai.

Andrade, instead, opted to cut down on the rounds to recover better and avoid overtraining himself.

"Today I felt good, I did four rounds. I didn't come here with the intention of doing eight rounds today, I was only planning to do four rounds, but I could've done eight rounds because I felt good. But, I want to preserve my body and I have MMA sparring this Friday so I held back a little bit just to give my body a nicer recovery. But I felt good, four rounds are good," said Fabricio Andrade.

The Brazilian knockout machine nursed multiple injuries in 2024 and spent much of the year recovering while starting his preparations for his world title rematch against Kwon.

Now back in full health, Andrade is more than ready to defend the throne against the man he knocked out at ONE 158.

Kwon, however, redeemed himself in the best way possible after that defeat when he racked up three straight knockout wins against Mark Abelardo, Artem Belakh, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg to set up the world title rematch against Andrade.

Fabricio Andrade is already one of MMA's most lethal pure strikers, yet he plans to improve his arsenal heading into his world title defense against Kwon Won Il.

'Wonder Boy' has been working with Tiger Muay Thai's head boxing boxing trainer John Hutchinson in his training camp for ONE 170.

Hutchinson is the man responsible for perfecting the murderous power of ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin.

In a previous Instagram post, Andrade said:

"He’s been a part of my camp to keep me working on my hands and gain more power. I hopefully gain more power with my hands. It’s something that I don’t have, a [one-shot] knockout with my hands, so that’s something that I want to do in my career."
