A few hours ago, Joe Rogan streamed the latest 'Fight Companion' episode on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he and fellow comedians Brendan Schaub, Brian Simpson, and Tony Hinchcliffe poked fun at Dana White's Power Slap promotion while enjoying the UFC 305 broadcast.

The group mocked slap-fighting's attempt to be recognized as a serious sport. When Schaub claimed that he's been told by well-respected combat sports figures how entertaining Power Slap is, Rogan interjected with the first jab at the promotion.

"Sure, if there were car accidents at the f***ing parking lot, you'd go out and watch."

When the topic of performance-enhancing drugs in Power Slap arose, the group continued poking fun at the sport. Rogan claimed he didn't want drug-testing in slap-fighting, even joking that he would like to see slap-fighters on methamphetamine.

"Yeah [they do drug-test], which is ridiculous. I want my slappers on meth. I want them all on the same sh*t [Adolf] Hitler was on when he went across Poland."

Power Slap has courted tremendous controversy ever since its inception, with many describing it as glorifying brain damage due to the fact that competitors aren't allowed to defend themselves. Dana White, the founder of Power Slap, though, has remained defiant in the face of slap-fighting's detractors.

For his part, Rogan hasn't accepted a commentary gig on Power Slap, despite the fact that his presence in the broadcast booth would undoubtedly boost the sport's popularity. However, with how much Rogan has cut back on his commentary in the UFC, he is unlikely to make any concessions for Power Slap.

Joe Rogan is in a position where he can pick and choose which events he wants to work, even opting out of certain UFC pay-per-views held on American soil. Thus, he has shown little interest in being a Power Slap commentator. The same, though, cannot be said for Michael Bisping.

The former UFC middleweight champion has worked as a Power Slap commentator, which drew criticism from renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani.
