Though he may be one of 11 victims who has succumbed to the sheer monstrosity of Superlek Kiatmoo9's world-class striking arsenal through his lengthy win streak, Japanese kickboxing star Takeru Segawa remains confident that he can put a stop to the Thai's magical run.

'The Natural Born Crusher' failed to open his ONE Championship account with a win at ONE 165 in Tokyo, Japan, falling short to 'The Kicking Machine's' near-perfect striking clinic inside the sold-out Ariake Arena.

But with time to improve and develop his game, the Team Vasileus star does fancy his chances if he goes toe-to-toe with the Thai again.

When asked whether there is anyone who can stop Superlek's victorious run, Takeru responded to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) by saying:

"I want to stop his winning streak."

As difficult as it may be, Takeru is one of the planet's finest kickboxing stars, after all. So this belief isn't suprising coming from the former three-division K-1 world champion.

'The Natural Born Crusher' has danced with some of the best there is inside the ring, and he will undoubtedly put on a better show if he works his way back into another world title shot against the Kiatmoo9 Gym martial artist.

That rematch might, however, hang in the balance on the outcome of his sophomore outing at ONE Friday Fights 81.

Takeru squares off against Burmese slugger Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81

After spending months to recover from the injuries he picked up from his Superlek war, the Japanese star makes his hotly anticipated promotional return against Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81.

On paper, the 33-year-old Japanese veteran should have everything he needs to make sure this flyweight kickboxing fixture goes his way. But the Burmese upstart has knockout power for days that can crumble anyone standing across him.

The Taw Win Ayeyar Club representative added a couple of highlight-reel wins against Jaising Sitnayokpunsak and Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, and he'll be more than game to earn a third on the trot against Takeru.

ONE Friday Fights 81 will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com.
