Naturally, Takeru Segawa wants to entertain his fans on his Lumpinee Stadium debut, and he's aiming for to make an explosive statement in his next outing. Takeru knows that a massive victory at the iconinc stadium would boost his own confidence following a massive loss in his promotional debut.

In his debut, the Japanese megastar faced Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the main event of ONE 165 in front of his hometown fans inside the Ariake Arena. Unfortunately, he lost on the scorecards, despite coming close to taking out the Thai superstar.

Now, at ONE Friday Fights 81, 'The Natural Born Crusher' wants to prove himself in front of the raucous Thai crowd, as he told ONE in an interview:

"The first time I watched a ONE event live was at Lumpinee Stadium. I felt a crowd atmosphere and heat from the audience like never before. I thought I wanted to fight in this ring someday, so I'm happy to have a match here."

Takeru Segawa explained:

"Lumpinee Stadium is one of the two great Muay Thai stadiums. I fought at Rajadamnern Stadium when I was in high school, and now I can fight at the other one, Lumpinee. I want to win in the best way possible and get the crowd the most excited."

For Japanese sensation Takeru Segawa, his challenge inside Bangkok's iconic Lumpine Stadium against Thant Zin is a must-win affair.

The 33-year-old legend admitted that he will bring a sense of urgency into this crucial clash, explaining that securing a win is important for his title aspirations. With an end-goal of challenging ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Takeru told ONE Championship in the same interview:

"I joined ONE to aim for being the strongest in the world, so I really want this win. To fight at the top, I absolutely can't lose two in a row after losing the last one."
