Former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand was extra playful in the ring with English rival Jacob Smith last weekend.

It wasn't because he was overconfident -- which he had every right to be, given that he had beaten Smith badly just two years ago. It also wasn't because he was feeling spiteful in the face of losing his flyweight Muay Thai gold on the scales just a day prior.

According to the Thai megastar, his otherworldly performance at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video was dedicated to the fans.

Addressing the media at the official ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video post-event press conference backstage, Rodtang explained his behavior against Smith in the ring.

'The Iron Man' said:

"I must say that I love this profession, and I want to show everyone that I got many styles, not only just being aggressive, I can also smile and be entertaining. I wanted to show another side of me that I can still entertain all of you."

Rodtang appeared to be toying with Smith at times in their three-round affair, easily maneuvering the Englishman around the ring with finesse and popping him with power shots at will.

In the end, it was a unanimous decision victory for 'The Iron Man'.

ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video will also be broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday, November 9. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon answers critics who railed him for missing weight yet again: "I'm not mad"

'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon came under heavy criticism last week for once again having issues with his weight and hydration for his big fight against Jacob Smith at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video.

But the 27-year-old Thai megastar simply brushed it off and owned up to his shortcomings.

Rodtang told the media:

"Yes, I must say as well that I'm not mad at any of the media and all the people who say things about me, and I must admit that I made mistakes."
