'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang was not prepared for the world-class wrestling skills of Jarred Brooks.
Stepping inside the Circle at ONE: NEXTGEN III in November 2021, 'The Monkey God' made his promotional debut against Adiwang, scoring the first of four-straight wins that would eventually lead him to a ONE world title victory over Joshua Pacio little more than a year later.
It took Brooks less than two rounds for him to get the job done, submission 'Thunder Kid' via an arm triangle choke just past the three-minute mark of the second stanza.

Looking back on the bout during an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Adiwang admitted to underestimating Brooks' wrestling and ultimately paid the price for it.
"I wasn’t really prepared for it in our fight," Adiwang said. "So I was surprised with his wrestling, because he’s different from any fighter I’ve ever faced before."
Jarred Brooks' unbeaten streak came to a crashing halt at ONE 166, but 'The Monkey God' will have an opportunity to reclaim ONE Championship gold and a bit of redemption when he returns to martial arts' biggest global stage on Friday, August 2.
Jarred Brooks ready to reclaim gold in interim title clash with Gustavo Balart
After surrendering the ONE strawweight MMA world championship to the same man he took it from, Joshua Pacio, following a disastrous disqualification in Qatar, Jarred Brooks will once again fight for a ONE world title when he meets streaking Cuban sensation Gustavo Balart in the ONE Fight Night 24 headliner.
The winner will leave as the interim ONE strawweight MMA world titleholder, setting the stage for a unification clash with Pacio, the reigning undisputed strawweight king.
While Brooks is looking to bounce back from his first loss under the ONE banner, 'El Gladiador' will be seeking his fifth-straight win after dispatching Ryuto Sawada, Yosuke Saruta, Alex Silva, and Hiroba Minowa in his last four outings.
