Dante Leon couldn't have asked for a better ONE Championship debut.
The Canadian superstar scored a sublime submission finish over multi-time BJJ world champion Bruno Pucci in their lightweight submission grappling matchup at ONE Fight Night 26 this past weekend at Lumpinee Stadium.
Making his debut in one of the most hallowed grounds for martial arts, Leon said what he did in Bangkok was just the precursor of his potential dominance in ONE Championship.

Dante Leon posted on Instagram:
"Successful debut in Bangkok, Thailand! Very happy with my performance and the reception from OneFC. The professionalism, viewership, and out-of-this-world energy of Lumpinee made this event an experience like no other. This was by far my most viewed and supported event by family, friends, and fans thanks to it being broadcasted in over 190 countries."
He added:
"Like always, I will continue my work, striving to showcase my skills through exciting performances. The difference now is with this platform, I can easily reach and inspire people WORLDWIDE with my life’s work. Eyes peeled, I will be back very soon! 🇹🇭 👀"
Leon was one of the marquee signings for ONE Championship's growing submission grappling scene, and his debut was a pure showing of how much of a force he could be on the global stage.
The two-time IBJJF world champion was clinical in his match against Pucci, showing off the athleticism that has become the meta for the current generation of BJJ superstars.
After taking Pucci's back and locking in a body triangle, Leon unleashed an unorthodox hold when he cranked on Pucci's right arm for the brutal triangle armbar finish 2:01 into the match.
ONE Fight Night 26 is available on free replay to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Dante Leon urges fellow submission grapplers to sign with ONE Championship
Fighters' greatness will always be measured by who they compete against, and Dante Leon believes ONE Championship has the best possible roster to contend with.
Leon said the world's best grapplers are already in ONE Championship's umbrella, and it's time for the other fighters to follow suit:
"This is the place where the best grapplers are. It's plain and simple. If you consider yourself to be the best grappler, or you want to be the best grappler, or you're striving to be the best grappler, this should be the place that you're trying to come to."
