Jarred Brooks has always been the type of martial artist who wants to test himself wherever and whenever he can.
'The Monkey God' has proven that during his time in ONE Championship, where he has achieved great things in the strawweight MMA division.
Not only has Brooks faced the very best that the weight class has to offer, the current interim champion has always been looking for bigger and better challenges.
Whether it was his dream fight with Demetrious Johnson that is no longer a possibility or any other opponent, he backs himself in every scenario.

This willingness to be out of his comfort zone even saw Brooks challenge ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci.
In a recent interview with BODYSLAM.NET, the champion spoke about loving the sheer amount of avenues that he can explore under the ONE banner.
He specifically referenced how if he really wanted to, he could test himself against 'The Iron Man' if everything lined up for him:
"I love the opportunities that can be put in front of me, like I could go up and fight Rodtang, I don't give a sh*t at the end of the day. I will fight Rodtang any day."

Jarred Brooks doesn't back down from a challenge
The mere mention of Rodtang in the same sentence is sure to get a competitor like Jarred Brooks fired up.
He is always looking to challenge himself so that he can prove exactly what he is made of. Competing against the flyweight Muay Thai world champion would certainly do that if that ever did become a reality for the interim strawweight champ.
'The Iron Man' competed in the promotion's first-ever mixed rules super fight when he faced Demetrious Johnson at ONE: X. If Brooks is able to continue dominating the strawweight MMA division, there is potential for something like this to be waiting for him down the line.
For now, Rodtang has his own contenders to worry about as he puts his title on the line in a rematch with Jacob Smith at ONE 169 on November 8.
