The next generation of combat sports stars are always on the lookout for their chance to shine and ONE Muay Thai phenom Johan Ghazali believes he is once again on the cusp of giving the fans another memorable moment.
'Jojo' will be competing in the undercard of ONE 167 on June 7 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand against longtime vet Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat in a flyweight Muay Thai bout.
This will mark Ghazali's sixth appearance under the world's largest martial arts promotion, and ahead of his showdown, he spoke about his personal goal for the fight in an interview with 4oz to Freedom's YouTube channel.
Johan Ghazali shared:

"If I could write the script... Okay, round one, I'm going to pressure him. I want to see how he reacts to my feints, my punches, and kicks, and stuff like that. And round two, I will go for the kill. Round two is the knockout round."

Ghazali's statement certainly rings true for him as ONE Championship fans have seen him put four of his five opponents to sleep, with his 16-second knockout in his debut arguably being his best yet.

Good defense will almost always overcome good offense and Ghazali is prepared for such an approach against the 35-year-old from Thailand.
Ghazali told ONE Championship in a recent interview:
"I wouldn't want to leave myself too exposed because I know his high kicks will be there waiting. So, I've really sharpened a lot of my defense and ways to hit or strike when he does hit with his kicks to the head."
ONE 167 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
