After adding Abdelali Zahadi to his victim list by knocking him out in their catchweight kickboxing fight last Dec. 20 at ONE Friday Fights 92 in front of the Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand, Marat Grigorian shared his thoughts on the result of his second meeting with Superbon.
Grigorian fought Superbon for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title in April 2022 at ONE Friday Fights 58, and the Thai superstar eked out a hard-earned unanimous decision nod from the judges to claim the 26-pound golden belt.
However, during Grigorian's post-fight interview with veteran journalist Nick Atkin at ONE Fridays Fights 92, he explained why he felt that he should have gotten the victory, as he explained:
"Listen, if you look at the rules and after the fight, then you can see it - that I won the fight by kickboxing rules. It's not Muay Thai rules. You cannot win a kickboxing fight with only kicking. But that already happened, you know."

Before that loss to Superbon, the Armenian striking menace suffered the same fate when they first faced each other in March 2022 at ONE: X, with the same unanimous decision result.
Despite these setbacks, the 33-year-old veteran still has an impressive record of five wins and an 80% finish rate against three losses in the promotion.

During the same interview with Nick Atkin, the Hemmers Gym representative also uttered his intentions to face the Thai superstar once again to potentially avenge his defeats and even their head-to-head score to two apiece.
Furthermore, Grigorian also wished him the best for his upcoming world title rematch with reigning ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai on Jan. 24 at ONE 170, as he said:
"I'm looking forward and I wish him good luck, you know. And, of course, I'm going back for it."
