Alexander Volkanovski lauds Max Holloway's UFC 300 performance
Alexander Volkanovski was all praise for his three-time opponent and greatest featherweight rival Max Holloway for his UFC 300 performance.
Holloway defeated Justin Gaethje in a thrilling bout that featured a last-minute knockout and secured the BMF title. Volkanovski discussed the performance on his YouTube channel and hailed Holloway's bonus-winning performance.
Volkanovski also defended Holloway from the critics and maintained that despite the three losses in their matchups, Holloway's level has not declined. He said:
“He was up four rounds to one with one second to go. That's when he got the finish... Talk about BMF, mate. Kudos to him for that. That was pretty incredible... Did not see that coming at all. Again, I was expecting him to win, but not like that. Absolutely blown away. Incredible performance. Like I said, Max has never lost it. A lot of people, even with our fights, after the last one [UFC 276], were as if Max was done and dusted. I was like no, that’s not the case at all. He's always been that good."
