Ian Machado Garry became the latest MMA figure to share his thoughts about Conor McGregor's current situation. Garry expressed his optimism about McGregor's octagon return but declined to comment on the latter's situation with Nikita Hand.

For context, McGregor was found liable for the assault of Hand in 2018. The latter asserted that the UFC superstar forced himself on her, despite the Irishman's claims that their encounter was consensual.

As a result, the court ordered McGregor to pay more than $250,000 in compensation. However, the former two-division champion continues to refute the charges and promised to appeal the court's decision last month.

In a recent interview with Fox Sports Australia, Garry opened up about the ongoing troubles surrounding McGregor. The 27-year-old alluded that nothing positive can be reported from his comments about 'The Notorious'.

''If he wants to fight again, that’s his decision. I think everyone in the MMA world is always going to be interested in that, just in regards to the excitement, the superstar he has been in the sport. (But) in regards to everything else, I don’t believe there is anything positive that can be written or spoken about from my answers, so I’d just prefer not to answer.'' [H/t: Fox Sports]

As for the MMA scene, Garry is set to face Shavkat Rakhmonov in a welterweight title eliminator bout in the co-main event of UFC 310 this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meanwhile, McGregor is expected to return next year after his welterweight contest against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 was scrapped due to 'The Notorious' suffering from a toe injury while training.

Brendan Schaub thinks Conor McGregor's latest problems could cost him a lot of money

The company that owns the majority of Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey, Proximo Spirits, has reportedly broken all ties with Conor McGregor and will no longer use his name to promote their product after the former UFC champ was found liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018.

Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub discussed McGregor's situation in a recent video on his YouTube channel, saying:

''For him to lose [Proper No.12], you're talking about millions of dollars per month, gone. There's no payout... Because when you're accused of what [McGregor] has been accused of, that goes completely against the contract and you get no back-up money...I don't know how much they pay him, maybe $5-10 million dollars a month.''
