British striking specialist Jacob Smith believes Rodtang Jitmuangnon will dictate their ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title matchup at ONE 169. That, however, does not mean he won't pounce on a chance for a finish if it's there for the taking.
The Englishman will make the walk to the ring inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, looking to avenge his debut defeat, claim the Thai's crown, and secure his spot at the top of the talent-jammed bracket.
Offering his thoughts on how this scheduled five-round fight will unfold, Jacob Smith had this to say in a recent interview with Cageside Press:

"It all depends on what he's like in the fight. If he's gonna rush, he's gonna walk into something. If he's a bit more patient, and I'm also a little bit patient... Let's just see how it goes."
The No.3-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender goes into this barnburner contest, one of four world title fights set for the card, off a unanimous decision loss to Denis Puric at ONE Fight Night 21.
Though he failed to get his hand raised that night, the 32-year-old made 'The Bosnian Menace' work extra hard for the win.
With a similar desire to put on a show and get even with 'The Iron Man,' the Bad Company and Thaifist product should be able to steer himself back on track inside the Mecca of Muay Thai on November 8.

Rodtang believes Jacob Smith takes too long to 'heat up'
Jacob Smith's aggressive style has been the backbone of pretty much all of his success in his career.
But having spent nine minutes with him in the past, Rodtang doesn't make much of it.
In an interview with the promotion, Rodtang said:
"He's still the same in terms of his style. It's like his engine is slow to heat up. He thinks and acts a bit slow."
