Paddy Pimblett has not entered the octagon since defeating Tony Ferguson via unanimous decision at UFC 296 last December. 'The Baddy' is preparing to make his return later this month when he faces Bobby Green at UFC 304. He recently shared a screenshot of his direct message to apparel company Venum requesting orange shorts for his first bout in the United Kingdom in two years.

The unranked lightweight contender reached out to the UFC's official outfitting partner, stating:

"Yoyoooo am I getting my orange shorts 🩳 then for UFC 304? Everyone wants to see me in them 👀"

Pimblett shared the photo to Instagram, captioning the post:

Fans reacted to the request by supporting Pimblett's quest to wear orange shorts. @jamesclaymusic noted that Ian Garry was allowed to wear purple shorts in his last bout:

"If Ian Garry can get purple you can definitely get orange I’d imagine hahaha!"

@ratatouillethegawd believes that every fighter should have the ability to wear custom shorts, if they desire:

"Everyone should be able to request shorts they make each fighter way more unique"

Paddy Pimblett labels himself the 'Kingslayer' after Bobby Green legally changes name

Bobby Green announced that he legally changed his name to 'King' on Sunday, something that he first teased ahead of his UFC Fight Night 222 bout against Jared Gordon last April. Paddy Pimblett, who is set to share the octagon with the No.15-ranked lightweight later this month, took to Instagram to label himself the 'Kingslayer'.

The unranked lightweight contender shared a photoshopped image of himself as Games of Thrones character Jaime Lannister, who is nicknamed 'Kingslayer', captioning the post:

"This mushroom has actually changed his name to King🤣 so yous can officially call me the Kingslayer on July 28th 👑🗡️🤗"
