Ilia Topuria offends Real Madrid fans with "f*ck" Cristiano Ronaldo comment and support for Lionel Messi: "Good luck fighting at the Bernabeu now"

While Ilia Topuria is an outspoken Real Madrid fan, it appears he's not a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and recently fired some shots at the Portuguese football icon. The reigning UFC featherweight champion also named Lionel Messi as his favorite footballer and dissed 'CR7' in the process.

Before Topuria's featherweight title fight against Max Holloway at UFC 308 earlier this year, Ronaldo predicted the fight going the challenger's way and shaded 'El Matador' as someone who talked too much. Topuria ultimately knocked out Holloway in the third round of their fight and later made it clear he wasn't pleased with Ronaldo's pre-fight analysis.

During a recent interview with El Partidazo de COPE, Topuria fired another shot at Ronaldo. During one segment of the show, he said:

"F**k Ronaldo as long as Messi exists."

Soon after @Home_of_Fight shared a clip of Topuria's comments on X, fans flocked to the post's comments section to share their thoughts on the matter.

One fan roasted Topuria and wrote:

"He got bu**hurt Ronaldo was rooting for Volk and Max."

Another fan wrote:

"Good luck fighting at the [Santiago] Bernabeu now, lol."

Given that Ilia Topuria has been a lifelong and devoted Real Madrid fan, it's no surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo picking his rivals to beat him in the octagon didn't sit well with him. The Georgian-Spanish fighter issued a fiery response after beating Max Holloway at UFC 308 and called out 'CR7' in an X post.

Topuria slammed Ronaldo for being unable to "distinguish between confidence and arrogance" in his reaction and quote-shared a @ChampRDS clip of the football legend's comments:

"I didn't expect someone like you to be unable to distinguish between confidence and arrogance. But, at the end of the day, we all reflect our own reality onto others. I wish you the best for what remains of your career, and God bless your family."
