It's been two years since Christian Lee has competed in ONE Championship. But just because he's been away from action doesn't mean he hasn't kept busy in the gym.

The last time we saw Lee, he delivered one of the most insane comebacks in ONE history, scoring a fourth-round TKO against Kiamrian Abbasov to claim the ONE welterweight MMA world championship.

But on Friday, Dec. 6, 'The Warrior' will put his ONE lightweight MMA world title on the line when he meets Turkish standout Alibeg Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 26 inside Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand.

During an appearance on The Brian Campbell Experience, Lee spoke about his time away from fighting and how he's managed to continue evolving his game away from the spotlight.

"Two years ago, I won the belt and I became a double champ," Lee said. "But with the time off, I feel like I was able to really step back and improve my skills in every area."

Christian Lee feeling confident ahead of his long-awaited return

Challenging Lee for the lightweight MMA world title at ONE Fight Night 26 will be Alibeg Rasulov, a Dagestani-born fighter who has shown an ability to get the job done whether the fight is on the feet or the mat.

Rasulov made his promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 23 in July, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory over former ONE world champion Ok Rae Yoon to earn his spot at the front of the line.

The victory moved Rasulov to 14-0 in his mixed martial arts career with six wins by knockout and four coming via submission.

Despite Rasulov's impressive resume, Lee is confident that he'll not only get the win, but he'll do it decisively.

"I do have the confidence that I'm going to get through this match quickly," Lee added. "You know, all the respect to Rasulov, he's a great opponent, he's undefeated, but yeah, I think that he's just not ready for what I have to offer and what I bring to the table."

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 26 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 6 in U.S. primetime.
