In Photos: Israel Adesanya, Dan Hooker and others pay respect to the "OG's of the land" ahead of UFC 305

Former UFC middleweight world champion Israel Adesanya and other fighters are in Perth, Australia for the opening ceremonies of UFC 305. A resident of New Zealand, the Nigerian-born Adesanya joined his fellow Kiwis Dan Hooker and Kai Kara-France, together with Aussie fighters like Tai Tuivasa and Casey O'Neill, in paying respects to the elders of the native land.

It was a beautiful scene with the UFC fighters honoring tribal leaders and their customs, even doing what looks like a traditional tribal dance after playing with some boomerangs.

Dricus du Plessis claims to know Israel Adesanya's "kryptonite" ahead of UFC 305

At UFC 305 this weekend, Israel Adesanya will attempt to reclaim his throne for a second time as he faces UFC middleweight kingpin Dricus du Plessis close to home in Perth, Australia.

If 'The Last Stylebender' wins, it would be his third reign as the promotion's 185-pound champion. This will also make him the first three-time UFC middleweight champion.

Adesabya's opponent, du Plessis, has other plans, however. Ahead of their main event battle this weekend, 'Stillknocks' spoke to New York Post Sports, claiming he knows the "kryptonite" to Israel Adesanya's Superman-like MMA game.

The South African champion claims that the man who beat Adesanya for the belt, Sean Strickland, was the one who laid the blueprint for beating the former champ, saying:

"I honestly thought that nine times out of 10... [Strickland beating Adesanya] that can't happen again. Izzy will beat him. That was obviously actually before I fought Strickland and then after fighting Strickland, my whole opinion around this changed... I started thinking that Adesanya wasn't off that night. It was just Strickland who completely shut down [Adesanya's] game, and he enforced his game, and that style that Strickland fights was the kyptonite for a guy like Adesanya."
